Since the introduction of pearl cultivation at the beginning of the 20th Century, pearls are now very affordable for all who wish to wear these unique gems. When choosing pearls, one should consider the pearl's Luster (glow), Surface (cleanliness of the surfsce, i.e. spots or bumps), Shape (roundness), Color and Size.
