Opulent Impressions SaraBeth Post Eskuche

We are excited to welcome SaraBeth Post Eskuche to the Jewelry Box. Her glass work had been on our radar. After trying her work on, we knew we needed to have her work in our space. Her show Opulent Impressions will be on display from May 2nd to June 28th, 2025.

SaraBeth Post Eskuche is a Pittsburgh based, multidisciplinary artist utilizing glass in sculpture, functional wares, and jewelry. She earned her BFA in Glass + 3D Studios with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Louisville. Her studies of pattern & color pave a path to explore human development juxtaposed to spirituality. SaraBeth creates functional wares and jewelry under the name Ultra Lit.

Post Eskuche has taught at The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass, Peters Valley School of Craft, Pittsburgh Glass Center, Penland School of Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Art. SaraBeth works part-time as the Communications Coordinator for Crafting the Future, a nonprofit organization working to increase creative enrichment by connecting artists of color with opportunities that will help them thrive.

Artist Statement

Opulent Impressions is a manifestation of an image burned in my mind, from a time period I didn’t exist in, the cascading pearls dripping from chic women in the Roaring Twenties. The everyday Divas of the 1920s & 30s took control of their style in a bold and confident manner. 100 years later, in this country, we find ourselves on the brink of the unknown, everything feels uncertain, but we still have autonomy over our wardrobe.

I am inspired to help people feel like they are the life of the party. As an adult, when the occasion is right, I love the feeling of “playing dress-up”. Channeling the adornment style of a century ago gives me space to make from a place of wonderment and fascination.

This is the moment, you put on the glass pearls, and you are transported. You become your own showstopper and bring all the vibes and glamour.
